Ultransonography Ultrasonography is an advanced imaging technique that uses sound waves to provide a real-time moving image of your pet’s internal organs. This procedure is particularly useful in diagnosing abdominal and cardiac problems and can be used to detect abdominal fluid, tumors, and internal organ abnormalities. Valley Animal Hospital & Pet Resort utilizes advanced technology to transmit images to a specialist for consultation and diagnosis. An ultrasound machine is on site to aid in cystocentesis (a procedure that collects a urine sample using a syringe) and is also useful to diagnose pregnancy.
