Dr. Ashley Calvin graduated from Colorado State University in 1999 with a BS of Animal Science, and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University's School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She then returned to Colorado where she was an associate and then an owner of a small animal and exotic animal practice. Dr. Calvin relocated to the Huntsville area in 2012 when her husband took a job with NASA.
Dr. Calvin enjoys internal medicine, dental care, and managing chronic diseases such as liver disease, kidney disease and helping to control chronic pain. She enjoys treating exotic patients and teaching their owners how best to care for these special pets.
Outside of work, Dr. Calvin and her supportive husband, Tim, are kept busy with their 3 teenagers. They have boy/girl twins, Rory and Owen, and a younger son, Holland. She loves to travel, bake, read, and spend time with family. Dr. Calvin also has five pets - 3 cats named Waffles, Kringle, and Mango, as well as two dogs named Beignet (AKA Benny Bad Dog) and Parfait.
