Dr. Katherine Roeder graduated from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine after completing a preceptorship at Valley Animal Hospital in 2014. While in veterinary school, Dr. Roeder worked closely with the emergency veterinarians and technicians in the small animal ICU, taking care of hospitalized patients. Prior to attending vet school, she received a BS in Animal and Dairy Sciences and Zoology from Auburn in 2009. 

Dr. Roeder takes tremendous pride in being part of the veterinary field and loves the constant growth that it has to offer. She enjoys being a part of the team at Valley Animal Hospital & Pet Resort, who strive to accomplish exceptional quality care for every patient. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine, and ophthalmology. Originally from Birmingham, Dr. Roeder is excited to now reside in North Alabama to serve the community of Huntsville.

She shares her home with her husband, Michael and their three children, Walton, William, and Allison . They are all kept busy by their pets-- a Labrador (Ernest), a Vizsla (Piper), two little mixed breeds (Mallie and Meeko), and four Rats.
