Dr. Mike Roeder
Dr. Michael Roeder graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Zoology in 2009 and finished his doctorate at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. He started his career close to home in Boaz, Alabama at a mixed animal practice treating both companion and farm animals. In 2015, he and his family made Hunstville their home where he has been working at a small animal practice. He is excited to join the team at Valley Animal Hospital and looks forward to the helping the continuing growth of the practice.
Dr. Roeder takes great pride in working closely with his staff to perform the best medical care for his patients as well as properly communicating with his clients to make sure they are well informed of their pets health. He enjoys handling all aspects of patient care but does have a special interest in soft tissue surgery and orthopedics.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Roeder enjoys both smoking and eating his own barbecue, but is always open to taste some of yours if given the opportunity. He is also an avid collector of coins and fountain pens. He shares his home with his wife, Katherine, and their three children, Walton, William and Allison. Their house is currently run and operated by their 3 dogs (Banks, Ferris and Miller) and 2 cats (Julep and Tipsy).
